Ordering the bin was easy and Lindsay was helpful and efficient, teaching me about the process and answering all my questions, at both ends of the endeavour. They delivered it on the day I ordered it and picked it up on my request 4 days later - the timing couldn't have been better, making my last weekend at the site productive and my transition seamless. I've run a business in Guelph for about 17 years. I decided to give another local company a chance at building a relationship , what a terrible decision I made. . Consumer beware - this company was not forthcoming with their rates or their fees- including $25/day per bin after 7 days ( including weekend days even though they do not offer pickups on weekends) we used 2-40 yard bins and got a bill for $2000 with taxes in. A competitor did the exact same service and similar weight in waste and was nearly $400 cheaper. I wasn't looking for the cheapest but when I get a bill that has a 13% fuel charge on ALL expenses including rental, tipping cost and the additional $25/day fee it warrants a warning to all to do your homework. I have never questioned a tipping cost or charge in my entire career but this was necessary. I hope it was worth it.

I don’t normally make reviews on Google but this is just a terrible display of customer service. I rented 2 bins in the span of 1 month from Hersey (spent almost 1K with this business) and the first time it went fine. The second time I had moved my car in the driveway to avoid getting a parking ticket. They came at 8am in the morning to pick up the bin I told them I’m not there now but I can come within the next 30mins to move the car, can you come back later? They said no we are going to charge you a $100 fee on top of everything else. Fast forward, 1-2 weeks I get a call from an employee saying I have an outstanding amount for this fee, I’ve already paid the $420 for the bun. I told the lady that I will be disputing this charge I don’t think it’s fair. She immediately got rude and defensive saying they came there 3 times that day, things that I know are not true as I was there. I also told this lady that I WILL pay the charge and then dispute it and let the banks decide the outcome as I have that right as a cardholder. She continued to be unprofessional and rude and eventually abruptly hung up on me.Their competitors offer the exact same service for a lower cost. I would look elsewhere if you’re looking for a bin rental.

Over charged, and refused to provide itemized invoice including all charges they were claiming and deposit paid prior. Makes me sick to know a business that operates like this is active and trusted in my community. Update, nearly a month after the last update, Hersey contacted me via email, AFTER the bill was paid threw collections. The email body is blank, but attached is an accurate invoice, with no admission of mistake or wrong doing. No apology for trying to rob me for nearly $500. It concerns me that a less capable person may have over looked and paid this and brings the question, how often is this done that they approach it with such confidence? Now that I have the inflated and corrected invoices in record they can expect a BBB report.Update, 3 days after writing this review, with no attempt on Herseys part to fix their own billing error, they opened a file with a collections agency for the correct* amount. In doing so, admitting the invoice they tried to intimidate and bully me into paying WAS infact $400+ over the amount owed. Demonstrating their lack of willingness to work with the customer, and an inability to take responsibility for their own mistakes. They could have simply admitted their mistake and had the money that was rightfully owed, saving us both this hassle. However the receptionist dealing with incoming calls and billing proved to have no interest in doing so, or in showing a morsel of respect.Original;Rude/dodgy. Over charged by well over $400, nearly $1000 for a 7 yard bin advertised at $375, returned half full. They have refused to send properly itemized copy of invoice, inconsistently list prices on phone and won’t provide a hard copy including all charges and deposit. Waited over a month to send an invoice with incorrect information and will not acknowledge mistakes. The person who answered the phone was rude, spoke over me and refused to acknowledge the deposit paid prior to service on Thursday Feb. 16th @ 2:10pm.$375/7 yard bin, $150 2x “dry runs” for drivers who refused the lane way that the third driver made it up first try, 2 days additional rental because drivers refused pick up $50, to a total of $575 plus tax. $461.32 deposit charged, and a bill for $555.41, for a total charge of $1016.73…

Very disappointed in the charges I received for a mixed waste bin. I had specifically mentioned to the person who took my order that I had mixed waste mainly of concrete. She said there would be an extra charge. Which was fine because me last bin of mixed waste was only $80. This time it was $785! That's twice the cost of the bin! Had I had any idea or had been cautioned about this I would have got two bins! When I called to question the charge there was 0 effort to meet me. Be very wary of mixed waste and what they tell you.
